Information only

Content on this site describes our services and general appraisal topics. It is not an appraisal, a valuation opinion, or legal, lending, tax or investment advice, and you should not rely on it for a specific property or transaction. An appraisal is provided only under an engagement with a client and is subject to the scope of work, USPAP and applicable regulations.

No engagement through the website

Sending a form or contacting us does not create a client relationship, place an order or commit Avisso to accept an assignment. Orders, fees and service levels are governed by a separate written agreement.

Appraiser independence

Nothing on this site may be used to influence or attempt to influence an appraiser’s opinion of value. Requests that would compromise appraiser independence will not be accepted.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, our systems or any portal.
• Do not send malicious code, spam or automated requests.
• Do not submit information you are not authorized to share, including borrower information outside a secure order channel.

Intellectual property

The Avisso name, logo, text, photographs and design are owned by or licensed to Avisso and may not be copied or reused without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial reference.

Client and appraiser portals

Portals linked from this site may be operated by third-party platforms and are governed by their own terms and by your agreement with Avisso.

Links to other sites

We link to regulatory and industry sources for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avisso is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information this website collects, how we use it and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Contact and inquiry forms: your name and email address and, depending on the form, your phone number, company or business name, monthly appraisal volume, a property address or location, the appraisal service you’re asking about, the states where you’re licensed, your service area and experience, and your message. Each submission also includes the inquiry type and the page it was sent from.
• Technical data: our hosting provider may record standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability.

What we do not collect

This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or social-media pixels. Fonts and images are served from our own host.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and route it to the right person.
• To evaluate an appraiser application and manage our panel.
• To keep the site secure and working.
• To meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How form submissions are delivered

Form submissions are transmitted by a third-party form-delivery service to an Avisso email inbox. That service processes the submission only to deliver it.

Joining the appraiser network

“Join Our Network” links open Mercury Network, a third-party vendor platform, in a new tab. Information you provide there is handled under that platform’s own terms and privacy policy.

Borrower and loan information

Borrower, property and loan information received through appraisal orders is handled under our client agreements and applicable law, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, not under this website policy. Please do not send borrower information through website forms.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request before acting on it.

Children

This site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Known limitations

Some downloadable documents and third-party portals may not fully meet the same standard. If you need information in another format, we will provide it.

State registrations and licensing

Avisso Appraisal Management Company is registered as an appraisal management company in the states below. Tell us the property type, location and appraisal you need so we can confirm the requirements for your order. Registration is in progress in Colorado and Georgia.
