Home / For appraisers

You've worked with AMCs before. You have questions.

Working with Avisso starts with your markets, property experience and the assignments you want to consider. Here is what to expect from scope and fees, report review and communication. To apply, register through Mercury Network.

Will I be treated like a professional?

Clear scope, practical communication and specific review requests help you complete the assignment.

Will the assignment fit my experience?

We consider your property experience and local market knowledge when offering assignments. Review the details before accepting, and raise any concern about the scope or your qualifications.

What we look for

Experience, independence and sound judgment.

Current regulatory knowledge

Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD requirements as they stand today, plus whatever a client's guidelines add. Keep current with the requirements that apply to each assignment and explain any issue that affects the work.

Ethics before everything else

An appraiser's name is always at stake. We expect appraisers to support their conclusions and maintain independent judgment, and we route value pressure away from you.

Judgment on properties that don't fit

Acreage, waterfront, large or unusual homes where the comparables don't line up. Being able to research, support and explain a value for those is the competency lenders most often need — and the work we quote individually.

Working with Avisso

Practical habits that keep an assignment moving.

Every order comes with its full assignment instructions. These are the points that matter most from acceptance to delivery.

Review before you accept

Read the property type, due date, client requirements and assignment conditions before accepting the order.

Raise concerns early

If the scope, the fee or your competency for the property is a concern, tell us at the start so it can be addressed before work begins.

Coordinate property access

Contact the person responsible for property access promptly to schedule the inspection, and let us know about access problems or utilities that are off.

Keep the order current

Update the inspection date and expected delivery date as soon as they’re set, and again if they change.

Ask the appraisal department

Send assignment questions to Avisso’s appraisal department. If anyone else contacts you about the assignment, refer them there.

Protect confidential information

Don’t discuss the appraisal or its results with the borrower, agents or other parties to the transaction. Refer them to the loan originator.

What we'll ask you for.

Matching only works if we know what you actually do. The application starts with your markets and property types and ends with the agreements, shown in full before you sign.

What happens after you apply

Panel approval does not guarantee assignments, a minimum volume or a fee level — orders are offered one at a time, matched to competency.
